Meet Robert Gumm, the Accounting and Finance Director at Elysium Legacy Group (ELG), bringing over 33 years of extensive experience in accounting, finance, and audit leadership to the funeral care and legacy preservation industry. Robert is a seasoned financial executive with a strong commitment to precision, strategic oversight, and building sustainable operations that support compassionate and high-quality service to families.

Bob’s distinguished career includes serving both emerging companies and large multinationals, primarily in the technology, scientific instrument, and semiconductor industries. His deep expertise spans IPOs, secondary offerings, public and private debt and equity transactions, spinouts, carve-out audits, and complex mergers and acquisitions — including numerous cross-border deals. Admitted to the PwC partnership in 1999, he spent over a decade in PwC’s Silicon Valley Technology practice before advancing to lead the Audit and Assurance practice for PwC’s West Region. In that role, he oversaw audit quality, business development, profitability, talent management, and deployment across the region.

Robert’s broad transactional and leadership experience ensures that Elysium Legacy Group maintains the highest standards of financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency. His strategic insight helps strengthen the financial foundation needed to deliver exceptional funeral care and meaningful legacy services with stability and long-term vision.

A dedicated professional with strong academic credentials, Robert holds a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach, and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University. He was recently appointed to the board of Payden & Rygel, one of the largest independent asset managers with approximately $150 billion in assets under management.
